All Colors within Humanity

I took this picture today in New York and I was in awe of this beautiful art portraying the message “DREAM”. My father had a dream, a dream of immigrating to a country where there was freedom, security, peace, love, and hope. My father came to this beautiful country (United States) 39 years ago as a student to study Science and Philosophy because he had such a deep love and passion for both of these subjects. Growing up with a very scientific and philosophical father he would always tell me to look around nature for life’s answers. He primarily loves and specializes in the study of color. One day he shared with me the definition of the word Iridescence.

Definition of iridescence. 1 : a lustrous rainbow-like play of color caused by differential refraction of light waves (as from an oil slick, soap bubble, or fish scales) that tends to change as the angle of view changes.

I absolutely fell in love with the science behind iridescence knowing that if you change the angle of how you view, you can see rainbow like colors. Ever look inside a kaleidoscope as a kid? Do you remember twisting it and seeing all the beautiful colors?

How can we open up ourselves and see the world through a different angle and in return watch the iridescence of all the colors unite? We must embrace it, share it, and celebrate it. 

When we are able to appreciate our differences and truly see the world from a different angle, we are then overwhelmed with a beautiful array of colors within humanity.  Embrace Differences, Be Vulnerable and Share your unique story, and Celebrate Unity in Diversity.
